Indocyanine green is a fluorescence imaging agent used intraoperatively across a broad range of surgical specialties, including oncology, reconstructive, minimally invasive and vascular surgery. Its use allows surgeons to visualise perfusion, supporting more precise surgical decision-making in real-time.
South Africa is the first territory in Africa to approve Verdye and brings the number of territories in which Diagnostic Green’s Verdye™ or IC-GREEN® is approved to 44. The approval of Verdye in South Africa means surgical teams in the region now have access to a fluorescence imaging agent with an established safety and efficacy profile, already relied upon by clinicians across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas.
South Africa is a strategically important market for us, both for its advanced healthcare infrastructure and its role as a reference point for clinical practice across the wider region.
