Question asked by surgeon Christian deVirgilio recently.  JAMA Surgery paper “Fluorescent Cholangiography During Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy – Shedding New Light on Biliary Anatomy”, written by Seth D. Goldstein, and  Timothy B. Lautz, concluded “We suspect that ICG-based augmented surgical visualization modalities, such as FC, will continue to progressively become more common. Given that the dominant market suppliers appear to be integrating fluorescent capabilities into their standard offerings, it is not unreasonable to anticipate that FC will become routine over the next decade as hospitals perform routine capital upgrades of laparoscopic surgical equipment.
